Wow what a wiring nightmare. Engine conversions with EFI and you want to use the standard ECU.
Well you can in most cases, Ive been doing a few Toyota 4AGE Conversions using the factory ecu. Costs around $200 if you have a cut FWD loom.
VN-VP engine conversion wiring also starting at $200 depending on loom condition.

Ive been talking to Andy Wyatt at Adaptronic.
Adaptronic is Australian design and made ECU, Adaptable to most if not all EFI cars.
Pricing is comparable to entry level ECU's but packed full of features like higher end ECU's.
Adaptive Fuel control, closed loop, sequential injection, multicoil, idle bypass control, Laptop programing etc.
And the starting price for all this $990
